What does "fractional Head of SEO" mean in practice?
I, Rahul, operate as your Head of SEO without the full-time overhead. I personally own strategy, technical execution, content production, link acquisition, and AI search presence. You don't manage me. I run the function, report metrics, and course-correct based on data. You stay focused on product and sales.
Why not an agency?
Agencies distribute your retainer across account managers, junior analysts, and templated workflows. You get a fraction of someone's attention. With me, you get one senior operator — me — who owns the outcome end to end. Strategy through execution. At early stage, my singular ownership compounds faster than any distributed team.
What's the Month 4 checkpoint?
A structured performance review at Month 4. I personally present: ranking trajectory, commercial keyword traffic, pipeline attribution, and AI citation progress against the milestone we agreed on. If my data shows clear momentum, we continue into Months 5-6 where compounding accelerates. If not, you exit. No obligation. This checkpoint exists because I believe in my system — and because SEO needs 4 months of data before either of us can make an informed judgment.
How do you handle the AI visibility side?
I don't sell AI visibility as a vanity dashboard. LLMs use RAG — they pull from indexed web content, entity knowledge graphs, and brand signals to generate recommendations. The same authority signals I build for your Google rankings (backlinks, structured data, topical depth, brand mentions) are exactly what LLMs use to decide who to cite. I build those signals systematically and I personally track your citation presence across ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini monthly.
Is content production included?
End to end. I handle keyword strategy, content architecture, production, on-page optimization, schema implementation, and publishing. My content mix is weighted toward commercial intent and authority pieces — the pages that drive your pipeline. Informational content still plays a role in building topical authority and feeding AI models, but I don't waste your budget on it as the primary investment.
What verticals have you operated in?
Health tech, edtech, B2B SaaS (accounting, HR, project management), consumer platforms, and test prep. My technical system and methodology are vertical-agnostic. What I adjust per engagement is keyword universe, competitive density, and content velocity requirements.
What's the time commitment from my side?
One 30-minute onboarding call with me. CMS and analytics access. Occasional async clarification on your product specifics. That's it. I send you weekly status updates and monthly performance reports. The entire point of hiring me is that you don't have to operate this function.
